Nawari is another of the rhythms in the “Beledi Family”.

The Rhythm Nawari has a straightforward 4/4 rhythm with powerful Doums and excellent Tek's. Unlike majority of Middle Eastern rhythms, Nawari it begins with a "Tek" instead of a "Doum." Its uniqueness makes Nawari an excellent change of pace from the Egyptian family of rhythms Beledi and Saidi, keeping the rhythm energetic and interesting.
